About Me:

I am a classically trained singer with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Vocal Music and a minor in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I have loved singing opera since I started taking voice lessons in high school.

I have performed in various settings from oratorios, to singing with a live band, to choirs.

In my free time, I love to do yoga, go on long walks, roller skate, and play Pokémon Go with my husband.

I have been married to my wonderful husband Marshal since 2020, and we have a beautiful French Bulldog named Soleil. She is my voice lessons buddy, so you might just meet her!

I have been teaching voice lessons for over three years now, and recently finished up a semester as an adjunct voice instructor at Rocky Mountain College. Teaching voice has been the most fulfilling job I have ever had.

Why Alyssa Carman Sings?

No one believes you can sing well until they hear you.

I used to struggle with crippling stage fright. In fact, I failed my first solo at my seventh grade choir concert. I felt like I had to prove myself from then on, especially since my choir teacher made me want to quit singing after that event.

I have loved to sing since I was a little kid. I didn’t give up because of this passion. My philosophy is that no one should ever be ashamed of trying. I want to help others nurture their love for music while helping them gain confidence in themselves and their ability to sing.

I sing, and I want you to be able to confidently say that you do too.
